Itinerary
Day 1. Arrive at Izmir
airport. Transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight. (D)
Day 2. Excursion to Pergamon.
Visit the Acropolis, the steepest theater of the ancient world, the
temple of Trajan, the Library, the Asclepion (the ancient healing
center) and the Red Basilica which is one of the Seven Churches of The
Apocalypse. Dinner and overnight in Izmir. (B,L,D)
Day 3.Leave for Ephesus, veritable cradle of early
Christianity. Visit the House where the Virgin Mary spent the last years
of her life, the ancient Ionian city of Ephesus, the Archaeological
Museum and the Temple of Artemis which is one of the Seven Wonders of
the Ancient World. Overnight in Kusadasi (or in Izmir). (B,L,D
Day 4. Departure for Miletus, one of the principal
Ionian cities, the principal town of ancient philisophers and home of
Thales, the ancient mathematician who also predicted the a solar eclipse
in 585 B.C. The city was twice visited by St. Paul. Continue on to
ancient shrine of Didyma to visit the Temple of Apollo with its gigantic
columns and the giant Medusa head. Continue to Bodrum, the
capital of ancient Caria where you will embark your Gulet (sailboat) in
Bodrum's dazzling blue bay embraced by imposing mountains. Dinner and
overnight on board. (B,L,D)
Day 5. Sailing. Sailing on translucent deep waters along the
forested coast with lunch en route to the Datca peninsula, the scene of
a number of small ancient ruins including some harbors. Overnight in a
cove along the peninsula. (B,L,D)
Day 6, Breakfast in Mersincik. Cruise the coast to the quiet bay
at Cati for lunch. Windsurf, skin-dive, or simply relax in the secluded
coves, sheltered bays of the Aegean Sea surrounded by large mountains.
Overnight at nearby Amazon Creek named for legendary female warriors. (B.L.D.)
Day 7. Breakfast in Cati, lunch at Seven Islands, a favorite
snorkeling site due to the coral formations. Windsurf, skin-dive, fish,
relax, enjoy the brilliant sun and the picture-perfect sapphire sky.
Barbecue on the beach. Overnight at Seven Islands.

Day 8. Disembark in Karacasogut. Transfer to Dalaman airport for
flight to Istanbul. Transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is
free to discover this bustling city connecting two continents on your
own. (B)
Day 9. We'll see today the most famous Byzantine and Ottoman
treasures of Istanbul. Visit the Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, the
Hippodrome Square, the imposing the St. Sophia Church, the symbol of the
once mighty Byzantine Empire. Walk around the vibrant Grand Covered
Bazaar offering thousands of goods, where you will have a chance to
bargain for jewelry, fashion, souvenirs and many colorful artifacts. (B)
Day 10. A short visit to the Egyptian or Spice Market followed by
a leisurely Bosphorus Boat tour viewing the beauty of the European and
Asian sides, with the many characteristic sea-side villas, fishing
villages and gardens, followed by a visit to the Beylerbeyi Palace. (B,)
Day 11.Transfer to Istanbul airport. End of our services. (B)
